Together with 3 colleagues I run TRINIX STUDIO in Arnhem/the Netherlands. The studio has opened it’s doors in late 2009, and offers a professional environment for all sorts of productions.
From commercials and voice overs to full band recordings or sequence based productions TRINIX STUDIO is the right place to be.

TRINIX STUDIO has one great sounding 35 m2 live room ideal for drum tracking. It offers enough space to record a whole band at the same time. Further there is an isolated 5m2 vocal booth next to the 22m2 control room.

At TRINIX STUDIO we record everything from full bands to singer/songwriters, jazz combos, vocals groups and we produce music and sound clips for commercials.
A wide variety of microphones (SE, AKG, SENNHEISER, RODE, SHURE,…) and outboard gear (NEVE, FMR, TASCAM, SPL, JOEMEEK) gives us the flexibility to record every source as good as possible. TRINIX STUDIO also has it’s own instrument farm (SLEISHMAN/PDP drums, MESA BOOGIE/BUDDA guitar amps, FENDER RHODES MAK II, EBS/FAFFNER bass amps,…) so we can make sure to get the right sound anytime.

building the studio

In 2009, we were building the studio. It took us 10 months to complete it. All the rooms are standing separate from each other to optimize isolation. The walls are all padded in 2 layers, bass traps are installed in the corners and reflection breakers on the ceilings.
The control room has been measured and optimized with pads and bass traps to give the best possible acoustic environmet. We are ready to record YOU!

Biography

I am a guitar player, songwriter and producer. I was born in 1979 and I picked up the guitar when I was 9. Later on I went to study jazz guitar in Germany and in the Netherlands and finished the Master Programme at HKA (Arnhem, NL) in 2007. I perform live, write and work in the studio with different formations.

Besides working as a performer and producer, I also work as a guitar and bass instructor and bandcoach. During the last 10 years I have taught in several public and private music schools, instructed private students and given band workshops in Germany and the Netherlands.

Influences

Back in high school I involved myself in music as much as I could, from the school’s Jazz Big Band to rock & pop cover-bands. During my studies I developed a deep appreciation for traditional jazz music, I was fascinated by the inventive power of the old jazz greats. At the same time I never lost touch to my roots and the records that inspired me to pick up the guitar when I was young. My bands and projects now cover a broad variety of styles: from modern jazz to Latin, blues, Americana, rock, drum&bass to everything in between.

But for sure there were some special inspirations!
I started taking the guitar serious because of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eddie Van Halen… Those two musicians impressed me a lot with their way of playing the instrument. Both can orchestrate a tune in a complete way, changing from comping riffs to fill-ins and solos so effortlessly, they shape the whole structure of a song just with the possibilities of the guitar. great!
